Campaign Kick-Off Banquet - Real Reasons to Attend
I want to be honest about why I’m doing this campaign kick-off banquet. This banquet isn’t about fundraising. It’s not about speeches. It’s not about checking a campaign box.
It’s about people and connecting with residents in Canyon County.
Canyon County is growing fast. You can feel it in Nampa, Caldwell, Middleton, and in the rural parts of the county too. Roads are busier. Neighborhoods are changing. A lot of folks are wondering what comes next. And I think one of the biggest problems right now is that too many decisions feel distant from the people they affect. I don’t want to be that kind of leader.
I’m hosting this BBQ because I want to meet people face to face. No stage, no script, just real conversations with questions and answers. I want you to be able to look me in the eye, ask me questions, challenge me if you need to, and decide for yourself who I am, not what others say on social media. Because trust doesn’t come from a website or a mailer. It comes from showing up and listening.
I want to hear what’s on your mind. Property taxes. Growth. Roads. Water. Things that are working. Things that aren’t. The small frustrations that don’t make the news but matter in your daily life. That’s the kind of input that actually shapes better decisions. And I’ll be honest, too. I don’t have every answer, no one does. But I do believe this: if I’m going to represent this county, I should start by understanding the concerns better. That starts with conversations like this.
So, this BBQ is simple on purpose - good food, open conversation, no pressure. Just a chance to get to know each other.
If I earn your support, I want it to be because you’ve met me, talked with me, and trust how I think and how I listen. Not because of a sign or a slogan. If you want to contribute to my campaign financially, great. If not, please do not let that be a barrier as to why you do not meet me.
If you want to attend the banquet on Saturday, March 28th, please RSVP to the Eventbrite link no later than Thursday, March 26th since the space is limited and we need an accurate headcount for food.
